Rant & Rave

How would you like to improve you chances for winning the lottery beyond calculations? This technique works on any lottery! BUY A TICKET It is a fact, if you fail to buy a ticket, you won't win! Ok, so this chance is small but it is so much more than impossible!

Should you decide to put that $1 on Powerball, you now have a chance of 1 in 146 million to win. Should you put down another $1, you improve your chance to 2 in 146 million! Now which $1 gave more value? The first $1 raised the probability from 'hell no' to 'yes I can' while the second $1 simply improve you chance. Each $1 you add, merely improves you chance slightly.

So the moral to this story, invest the first $1 ... gamble the rest!

Private Accounts!

George continues to rant & rave about 'private accounts' in the social secutiy program. Here is how it works: you agree to have 2/3 of you social security weekly deduction from your paycheck transferred to a fund run by one of George's friends and George will reduce your social security check when you retire by 50% or more. I am not sure where your companies matching contribution goes, but it really does not matter cause you won't see any of that either. Now your personal account will be invested in the stock market but someone has to pay for all this personal attention ... who? you, of course! I remember paying $35 per year for 'handling' my IRA accounts until they starting losing money... then I combined all the accounts and got by the annual fee.

I sure if all of this money hits the stock market the price of the stocks will go up! With each paycheck you will buy more stock at higher prices and more fees. Don't worry, because once you retire and start selling your stock, the prices will be lower since everone else who retired is also selling their stock.

Stop George! No private accounts for SS! Stay tuned and I'll tell you more!

I found out how to include a fancy link to flickr on the right. Now you can see my last five photos in flickr without going to the site. Of course one of the features of flickr is the ease of seeing many fotos on a subject quickly or joining a group and checking the group's effort from time to time. It is a fun site.

I also added more of my photo sites to my links. Check them out. I try to use each link a little different.

This link is suppose to be my soap box ... I have yet to Rave let alone Rant!

I can't believe I have left this site alone for four months. The three months trip to Brownsville, TX is really not a good excuse since I did have time and computer access. Just not the inclination to think! Today, I decided to update this site without thinking ... just post something to show I am still alive.

We left the end of January for Brownsville in the RV and arrived in about a week. Lived in Texas until the end of March and migrated back via Houston and New Orleans. Houston has too many tall bridges, needed to get over the large ships that come into the harbor. New Orleans has too much swamp. Takes an hour or two over low bridges to arrive in New Orleans. Brownsville was good. Weather super and living easy. We plan to return next year.

It has taken a couple of weeks to get caught up at home, at least as much as I want to. The weather in St Louis has been great till today. Winter came back to visit us for a while. Talking about freezing tonight and snow somewhere. This is almost May!

Enough of this mindless wandering. Got to get more photos ready for the web!
